2024 Ministry Stewardship and Financial Transparency Statement

Brother John Elving Ministries operates as an independent, faith-based outreach sustained through voluntary support from friends, ministry partners, and individuals who believe in this mission. This statement is provided in the spirit of transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship.

Financial integrity remains central to this ministry. Every gift received is handled with intentional care and applied toward sustaining active outreach efforts, ministry operations, and the practical needs required to maintain full-time service.

2024 Ministry Overview

During the 2024 calendar year, the majority of donated funds were directed toward direct ministry outreach and related operational needs.

These expenses included street outreach supplies, food distribution, clothing and winter survival materials, transportation assistance, outreach travel, ministry equipment, digital tools, vehicle-related ministry costs, insurance, administrative support, and direct emergency assistance for individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and crisis.

The 2024 ministry year involved consistent outreach across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, as well as ministry travel within Canada and the United States. Travel-related expenses, including fuel and transportation, were necessary components of maintaining regular outreach presence and speaking engagements.

Funds not applied directly to outreach were used to support the essential living and operational requirements necessary to sustain full-time ministry work. As an independent field-based ministry, both outreach and operational sustainability are funded through the same stream of voluntary support.

Professional Accountability

All financial activity for 2024 was processed through a designated business account and maintained using organized bookkeeping practices. Income and expenses were submitted to a certified professional accountant for annual tax reporting and compliance.

Full financial records and supporting documentation are maintained for accountability and verification. In addition, financial summaries have been reviewed by trusted long-standing ministry associates familiar with the structure and operation of this outreach.

Commitment to Access and Service

Brother John Elving Ministries remains committed to providing outreach, advocacy, and spiritual support freely to those served. Ministry assistance is offered without charge, reflecting a commitment to accessibility, service, and care for individuals in crisis.

Ministry Status

Brother John Elving Ministries operates as an independent ministry and is not a registered Canadian charity. Donations are voluntary gifts and are not tax-deductible.
